This policy explains how TripStory handles personal, company and listing information across stories, profiles, company dashboard, tours, places to stay, translations, moderation and support.
Information we collect
- Account and profile details such as name, username, email, password data, avatar, social links, language preference and activity records.
- Travel stories, photos, routes, ratings, reports, comments, saved items and other content a user chooses to publish or send for review.
- Company dashboard data such as company identity, contact details, tours, places to stay, prices, routes, dates, amenities, photos, approval status and admin notes.
- Technical data such as IP address, device information, browser, session logs, security events, language choice and approximate usage analytics.
How we use information
- To create accounts, show public profiles, publish stories, display company tours and places to stay, and connect visitors with companies.
- To manage drafts, pending reviews, approvals, rejections, returned items, admin edits and support requests.
- To improve search, maps, multilingual pages, recommendations, safety checks, fraud prevention and platform reliability.
- To send operational messages about account access, moderation, approval notes, important changes or support responses.
Translations, moderation and service providers
- Manual text fields may be sent to GPT or similar translation services to prepare language versions for review before publication.
- Admins may review, edit or remove content that violates rules, contains incorrect information, lacks required translations or creates safety concerns.
- Trusted service providers may process hosting, email, analytics, security, translation or support data only for platform operations.
- Sensitive details such as passwords are not used for translation and should never be placed inside listing descriptions or public notes.
Sharing, retention and rights
- Approved public content can be visible to visitors, search engines and users in different languages according to the selected visibility settings.
- We keep data for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse and maintain audit history.
- Users and companies can request access, correction, deletion or visibility changes where the law and platform safety rules allow it.
- Some records may be retained when required for security, financial, legal, moderation or abuse-prevention reasons.
